This blog was created so that I could voice an opinion, write about life experiences, and ramble on about personal growth through time. I have a lot on my mind all the time, and sometimes it just needs to be said and put out there where everyone can see it. I’m currently a 21 year old student attending University of California, Santa Barbara as a Philosophy major, with a fitness instruction minor with a personal training emphasis. I currently have no job lined up and have a little more than two quarters to go before I graduate.
While growing up, I never really knew what I wanted to be or become. I knew there were these goals deep inside of me that seemed unreachable and unattainable. While at a young age, I really liked money and I couldn’t get enough of it. Here I am now a full time student still not knowing what I want to do when I enter the real world. We all have these dreams of getting a job, getting married, and living happily ever after with your children. However, I don’t see it that way. I see it as throwing your life in a trash can, and be ordered around at your 9-5 job.
I decided to erase all the post on my blog and start fresh because I didn’t like what I was seeing or where it was headed. I decided that this blog will only be used for a personal use and nothing else. I will discuss issues in my life, certain experiences I wish to share, and about my future aspirations and goals. I will also be talking about certain business ventures I wish to pursue.
One of my main goals is that I want to start a Non-Profit Organization and make it nationally recognized. I’m certain if I put my mind to it, I can create one of the biggest charitable events that happens yearly. I truly believe that there are not enough genuine people willing to help out others. Don’t perceive this the wrong way, I like money and I don’t like giving it away freely, but for people with disorders, diseases, or other complications – it is a different story. There are many people in this world that were born handicap or with life threatening diseases, and there are those who don’t or wont try and understand the problem. I feel as if those people are to ignorant to the fact that they can’t feel or understand what is going on, or they’re just plain scared to accept the fact that there are things that exist in this world that are truly messed up. We as people need to understand that little change can lead to even bigger change.
You may not find this blog very interesting however, it is a place for me to get away from everything and ramble on about my life. I’m a pretty laidback guy who doesn’t care what people think of me. I don’t believe people should be living in a world where your every move is criticized by others. The clothes I wear and the way I act is how I want to look and be perceived as. If you don’t like me, then that is your problem. However, I find that most people like me for who I am and I don’t tend to make many enemies. With that said, without further adue welcome to Glenn Hawkins’s blog.
