I was going to write this while I was studying in the library a week ago, but decided against it because I had more important things to do such as studying. One thing that gets on my nerves at school is people who use iPod headphones. These things are horrible, and I don’t understand anyone’s rational behind using them. I go to the library to get some peace and quite, so I can read/study. However, there are some ignorant clucks out there that think the world revolves around them.
I hate it when people blast their music in their IPOD headphones and everyone within a 15 foot radius can hear them. I don’t have any problem going up to them and telling them to turn their music down, but there are those who just sit there and look around and look pissed off and don’t do anything. Seriously? I don’t get how people read and blast music with lyrics, or even worse, songs they know every word to. How do you explain reading and understanding what you are reading when in the back of you head you are singing along with the song? First, you probably never go to the library, and secondly you’re probably going to have hearing problems by the time you 50 (I’m glad and it’s not my problem), and thirdly just spend the extra 10-20 dollars to get a decent pair of ear buds. I found a deal for some $30 Sennheiser ear buds for $5, plus you get the better sound quality and better base.
Study groups at the library without having a study room. That already sounds bad just reading it. No study room…and you’re in a group…That made my eyes bleed just reading it. Firstly, you don’t go to the library and join tables together and start talking about your social life or about problems you’re having with what you have to do. Some people are seriously retarded and don’t understand the concept of ‘library’ or ‘quiet’ or ‘study rooms’. When you are in the library you don’t discuss (cough cough I mean talk in a normal pitch/volume) about shit in the middle of the room acting like you’re the only ones there. I personally told a group of 3 guys and 2 girls to whisper and they looked at me like I was from another planet and continued to talk loudly. Then the guy studying next to me went over and told them to shut the fuck up. It sort of penetrated their large noggin of nothingness. I wish there was an unwritten rule, where if someone was loud we all had monkeys who tossed shit at them that they put in their mouth.
Well I would write more, but I forgot what else I was going to say trying to look for a video where monkeys throw poop at you. But in the end, just study in group study rooms and don’t yell. Also purchase some ear buds that are not iPod ones.
